Port of Pascagoula
The Port of Pascagoula has been a major economic generator for Jackson County for decades. More than 26 million tons of cargo move through the public and private terminals each year. The 42 foot deep Pascagoula Ship Channel is a 14 mile transit from the Gulf of Mexico into the port's two harbors, the Bayou Casotte Harbor and the Pascagoula River Harbor. Major cargoes through the public terminals include forest and paper products, chemicals and steel.
