CJ is a native of Laurel, MS, and joined the District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney in 2023. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Mississippi State in 2013 while playing soccer for the Bulldogs. Upon graduation, she served as a police officer for the City of Starkville for six years. During that time, she also obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of West Alabama. CJ went to law school in 2020 at the University of Mississippi where she served on the Student Bar Administration as the Attorney General and the Dean’s Leadership Council as Co-Chair. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Mississippi Prosecutor’s Association, and the Jackson County Bar Association.
