VOLUNTARY EVACUATION
In anticipation of moderate to major coastal flooding, Earl Etheridge, Director of the Jackson County Office of Emergency Services, has issued a voluntary evacuation for low-lying, flood prone areas, for residents living on rivers, river inlets, bayous, creeks and in travel-trailers or other sub-standard structures.

Highest water levels are expected during the high tide cycle tonight, lasting into the overnight hours before water levels come back down Thursday. 

 HURRICANE SHELTER INFORMATION
The Vancleave Hurricane Shelter, located at 5500 Ball Park Road, will open at 3:00PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. The MS State Department of Health will be offering COVID-19 tests at this shelter. These tests ARE NOT mandatory. There is a requirement of masks and social distancing in this shelter.
