Jackson County’s debris removal contractor will begin their final pass through each neighborhood of the unincorporated areas of the County on January 4, 2021. To make the process more efficient, and ensure all Hurricane Zeta debris is picked up, residents are asked to please put debris out to the roadside BY January 3.
Due to the uncertainty of volume in each area, we are not able to confirm when the contractor will be in a specific neighborhood, however, if debris it out by January 3, it will be picked up. To date, an estimated 290,000 cubic yards of debris has been picked up since the contractor began on November 9.
As a reminder, debris should be placed curbside, in right-of-way area, without blocking the roadway or storm drains. Items should be separated in piles or containers based on the following type of materials:
